Vir 2 – Cinematic Thunder Review

This week Meena Shamaly looked at the new sample library by Vir 2 called “Cinematic Thunder: Epic Orchestral Toms“. Cinematic Thunder is an orchestral tom library containing four master patches:

  • Solo Sticks
  • Solo Mallets
  • Group Hits
  • Group Random.

The master patches are the natural sound as they were recorded each with a corresponding “Slam” patch which has a bigger and  more aggressive sound. So lets dig in – click on the video below to see what Meena thought about the library.

Cinematic Thunder is available at Big Fish Audio for $199.95 and requires Kontakt 5 or above.

Cinematic Thunder delivers punch, impact, dynamic, and excellent sound quality. All it lacks is velocity curve control on the interface, a minor setback in an otherwise very-well crafted library.
